CHRISTIE CHAMPIONSHIPS - MANCHESTER 2010

WEDNESDAY 10^thMARCH

After months of waiting THE CHRISTIE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010 loom large on the sporting horizon.The University of Manchester are the hosts for the third year of the revamped one day event which takes place on Wednesday March 10^th with over 10 venues being used around Manchester and neighbouring areas.

Once again ALDI are sponsoring the event for the third year. They will have a strong presence during the day which will culminate with the presentation ceremony at Owens Park Bar in Fallowfield from 7.30pm. The ceremony will see the winning Christie Championship Shield presented by ALDI to the 2010 winners.

Will Leeds or Liverpool knock Manchester off their familiar podium?

Both Universities will be trying their hardest to lift the Shield with Liverpool particularly keen to win for the first time since 1991. Leeds will want to take the Shield back across the Pennines as they try to return to their glory days of the 1990’s.
