Gymnastics

We are a friendly group who meet on Sundays from 7.00 to 9.00pm at a purpose built gymnasium at the Leeds Met campus in Headingley. We train together with our coach for personal and competitive attainment.

All abilities are welcome and we encourage those who have a recreational interest in the sport as well as those who have no previous background in gymnastics. Contrary to belief, gymnastics does not have to be learnt from three years old! Our focus is on men's and women's artistic although acro gymnastics is welcomed, girls get to swing on the bars, learn beam, vault and floor, while boys focus on their six elements namely pommels, vault, parallel bars, high bar, floor and rings.
We are a newly founded club having split from the Trampoline Club due to size and interest, regularly meeting allowing everyone to participate on both a social and sportive level.

We compete in the BUCS championships once a year with men's and women's teams if you are interested in competing, but we hope to do a few more competitions this year. We are also trying to increase training sessions to meet the popular demand.

Membership for the year is £30.
