Opera

Leeds University Opera Society is a society which aims to bring Opera to everyone. From those who know nothing about Opera to those who live their life according to the works of Verdi, anyone is welcome in OperaSoc.
With frequent visits to see Operas, workshops with professional opera singers and two unauditioned shows a year there is plenty to get involved with. The shows have all recieved positive reviews with the society winning "Best New Society" at the Rileys in 2007 and winning the prestigious "Best Show" with Mozart's The Magic Flute in 2009. Our 2010 performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance" received a 5 star review in the Leeds Student newspaper.

The dedicated Committee are always available to ensure that everyone enjoys themselves as much as possible and that everything runs smoothly. Get in touch if you have any questions, we'd love to hear from you.
