What are you doing?
Encouraging students to make small, yet positive changes in their lives in order to ensure their safety and security.
Why are you doing it?
Because 'making our members feel safer' is a key target for LUU as our members have stated it as one of the most important things that LUU can do for them.
How are you doing it?
By working with the University, Leeds Met, West Yorkshire Police, Unipol Student Homes and Leeds City Council in order to develop a strong and positive campaign (Knowledge) that is aimed at making information relevant and accessible to students in an eye-catching way.
What have you acheived so far?
So far, in the first year of Knowledge, there has been a reduction in crime in Leeds' student areas and, for a website essentially about crime prevention, the viewing figures are really high.
