If you are relocating and looking for support the housing advisors in the Student Advice Centre are more than willing to give you some friendly advice, or to check out the credentials of a landlord. They can even help you find some temporary accommodation if your relocating in a hurry. You can contact them by email at advice@luu.leeds.ac.uk.
If you are looking to rent then a good place to start can be the Unipol website www.unipol.org.uk/leeds as it only promotes accommodation from reputable landlords and letting agencies.
Healthcare
To register with a local GP’s surgery, dentists or opticians check out www.nhs.uk/ServiceDirectories.
There is a NHS drop-in centre on the Headrow, in The Light (tel: 0870 818 0003). Which has a GP on site, as well as a physiotherapist and experienced nurses. It's open from 7.00am to 7.00pm and no appointment is necessary. Visitors do not need to be registered with a GP.
